Our third graders have been learning about different forms of poetry from their teacher, Amanda Wallrich.
I would like to share two samples of their poetry. The first is acrostic poetry in which the students select a word and use the word’s letters to create a poem:
Memorare Admirable Rainbow You have faith —By Tsenat
Color poetry using metaphors and similes:
Green is plants growing in the spring. Green is the feeling of God. Green is the smell of fresh air. Green is the sound of a sad ending.

All classrooms prepared something for their Mothers to celebrate last weekend’s Mother’s Day. I found this note to a Mom very touching.
Dear Mom,
My heart blooms for you because you are caring and you give me food and shelter. You brought me to this caring school.
