Four high school seniors, playing on four different sports teams, at two different high schools, have two things in common that would beat the odds set by any Las Vegas bookie. First of all, each of the four is captain of their respective sport, and secondly, they all graduated from Immaculate Conception School in 2013. Four captains out of a class of fifteen students:
What are the odds?
Maddie Duffy: Volleyball, DeLaSalle High School
Will Wray: Soccer, DeLaSalle High School
Ashley Cordero: Soccer, Totino-Grace High School
Eliza Dahly: Volleyball, Totino-Grace High School
I would like to think that it was their many years of Physical Education class or their participation in sports at Immaculate Conception. But even I am not that foolish. I am sure there are many reasons for their success: God-given talent, family support, work ethic, and hopefully what they learned while at ICS. As their former P.E. teacher I am happy to see them do well in their leadership roles.
Congratulations, former Raiders!
